Background & Experience
Bradley L. Griffie is a native of Cumberland County, having graduated from Big Spring High School. He is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and the Dickinson School of Law. He, his wife and their four sons continue to call Cumberland County home.
Mr. Griffie is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, all Pennsylvania State and County Courts, and the United States Federal District Court, Middle District. He is a member of the American Bar Association (Family Law Section; Elder Law Section), the Pennsylvania Bar Association (Family Law Section; Elder Law Section), the Cumberland County Bar Association (Family Law Section; Estate Planning Section), and the Franklin County Bar Association (Family Law Section).
A commitment to the community has always been a focal point of Mr. Griffie’s personal and professional life in the Carlisle area. He’s particularly supportive of programs for our youth. Mr. Griffie served extensive terms on the Carlisle Borough Parks & Recreation Department Board of Directors and the Borough Planning Commission, as well as the Tri-County Cancer Society Board of Directors. Mr. Griffie maintains active memberships in the Carlisle Area Chamber of Commerce, the Chambersburg Area Chamber of Commerce, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge 578, and the Loyal Order of Moose. Currently, Mr. Griffie serves as the President of the Board of Directors for Carlisle C.A.R.E.S. and is actively involved as a member of Rotary Club of Carlisle – Sunrise. He and his family are members of and attend St.
Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Carlisle. Mr. Griffie’s greatest commitment of time, though, comes about through his commitment to his children. He has coached youth sports for several decades, including helping to coach lacrosse and indoor soccer for many years, coaching soccer for over 15 years, basketball for 26 years and baseball for 22 years. He has served as President of the Carlisle Area Little League since from 2006-2011, has contributed financially to the League for many years as a team sponsor, and has supported the League in other ways. Mr. Griffie participates as a volunteer for, and provides financial contributions to, Junior Achievement, serves as a volunteer for high school Career nights, and has served as Booster Board president and a Booster Board member for multiple sports at Carlisle High School. He continues to assist his community by giving his time and financial support to many other youth sports related activities, as well as other programs to benefit the Carlisle area.
Mr. Griffie’s primary areas of practice are elder law, estate planning, estate administration, real estate transactions and family or domestic law.
